Badin, Sindh: (Staff Report) Molvi Haji Abdul Mallah library of Badin lacks basic facilities 13 years after inauguration, students told Sindh Post.
The Library was inaugurated in 2004 and it really gave a hope to the youth of the area for at least having a suitable place for study, but since after the initial days, the library is not being maintained properly by the staff or the local administration, said a local student.
The only library serving poor students for exam preparation have no basic facilities available. The students while speaking to the Public voice team said that they have approached the district and local administration but all requests go unheard Since last 12 years.
Despite of millions of funds, huge amount is leaking through corruption. The basic facilities like drinking water, electric fans and air conditioner are not operational, which cause a big disturbance for the students. Most of the students study in the corridors or stairs of the library due to electricity supply issues.
The students further said that the books in the library for exam preparation are outdated and not meeting the required capacity.
