KARACHI: (Aftab Channa) It seems that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has finally agreed with the long pending demand of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to remove controversial Inspector General of Sindh police A D Khawaja and Additional IG Mushtaq Mahar very shortly.
IGP Sindh A D Khawaja has become a controversial officer as he refused to obey the transfer orders of the Sindh government and kept working in violation of the service rules. Mr. Khuwaja has been working as IGP Sindh after was given stay order by the Sindh High Court.
Mr A D Khawaj has allegedly become tool of the federal government who supported him to work against the policies of the PPP led Sindh government. “PML-N and PPP have reached a consensus to oust the IGP A D Khawaja and Additional IG Mushtaq Mahar very shortly”, sources claimed.
According to sources, both Mr A D Khawaja and Mushtaq Mahar have been informed about the likely transfer, following which, both the officers have started lobbying for the post of Chairman Karachi Port Trust.
In this regard, the Cabinet Division is likely to issue a notification transferring both the officers from police however the decision about their new task would be decided later, sources added.
