Karachi: (Aftab Channa) Sindh Labour, Transport and Information Minister Syed Nasir Husain Shah held a meeting with delegation of International Labour Organization (ILO) visiting from Islamabad at his office here on Thursday.

The delegation led by Ms. BLenda Chanda and Director Global Employment Injury Programme Ms. Anne Drouin, Secretary Labour Abdul Rasheed Solangi with his team Additional Secretary Bux Ali Mahar and Director Labour Welfare Sindh Khadim Hussain were also present.

The delegation apprised about the visit details regarding over view of the Labour Laws, Development of Labour Welfare and initiatives carried out for the Labourers in Sindh and discussed the matter of mutual interests related to Labour Welfare and their rehabilitation programs.

The Minister Labour Syed Nasir Hussain Shah apprised the visiting delegation about the various steps taken for the Welfare and well being of the Labourers under the vision of PPP Manifesto. He said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had focused on due care of the Labourers in Sindh, under his directions Labourers are being provided Marriage, Death and dowry grants as well as for their children scholarships with education and health facilities are also provided to get study / education in aboard.

Secretary Labour Abdul Rasheed Solangi also briefed them about the implementation of Labour Laws and other measures taken for Welfare of Labourers. He said that Sindh had tripartite forum to run the affairs of Labour properly with the due participation of employers, employees and respective officials in Sindh.

The delegation expressed satisfaction over the measures and steps taken towards the betterment and Welfare of Labourers.
