KARACHI: (Aftab Channa) Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said the provincial government is taking all possible steps for the resolution of problems faced by journalists.

During his visit to the Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) office, here on Thursday, the minister said,  he would convey to the Chief Minister whatever issues are faced by journalists and ensure resolution of the problems.

Shah announced that the provincial government would provide annual grant to the KUJ. He also sought recommendations from the journalists’ body relating to KUJ health cards to resolve the matter.*

Earlier, KUJ’s leaders apprised the minister of various problems faced by journalists.*

They demanded of the provincial government to announce health policy for journalists, and help in the removal of hindrances pertaining of KUJ’s land.

The minister was welcomed by PFUJ’s Secretary General G.M. Jamali and others.

Karachi Press Club’s Secretary Maqsood Yousufi also briefed the minister about the issues of press club and the journalists.
