Karachi: (Staff Report) Sindh Labour, Transport, Mass Transit and Information Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has distributed/handed over 18 ambulances to various hospitals of the Sindh Employees Social Security Institutions (SESSI) at a simple ceremony held at K.V. Social Security Hospital SITE, Karachi here on Thursday.

Commissioner Social Security Farooq Laghari, Director Medical Dr. Mumtaz Shaikh, all Directors, MS, DMSs President Peoples Staff Union Malik Naveed, Ashraf Shah, Imdad Bappar and others were also present.

Commissioner SESSI Farooq Laghari briefed the minister about the modern and equipped with latest machinery and equipments, 18 Ambulances worth of Rs. 21.5 million to provide the medical and treatment to the patient of for fling area of the Sindh including Karachi, besides establishment of Cardio Vascular ward / unit in Valika Hospital, SITE and Burns Ward in Landhi SEESI Hospital respectively.

On the occasion, the Sindh Labour Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah reiterated the Laborers Friendly Policy of PPP. He said that the Health and other institutions were the establish for the  Laborers and their families including their children for betterment and medical care with Health, Education and other basic needs and facilities provided to them on priority. The addition of 18 ambulances in the current stock of 52 ambulances would provide speedy treatment to the needy and poor patient / Labour, for which we would very soon launched a “Benazir Health Card” for all Laborers to make the whole system transparently and complaints in this regard could be ended. He further said that many other initiatives have been taken to upgrade the infrastructure of all institution, providing latest and modern machinery and equipments in the institutions on priority to resolve the issues of laborers at every level.

Later the Minister Labour Syed Nasir Hussain Shah visited the Peoples Staff Union and enquires the issues, Commissioner SESSI was directed to ensure all medical and basic needs to the Laborers on priority as the all funds related to Laborers, to be utilized over them and these ambulances would also be ensured to use for the genuine and needy patients.
