Karachi:(Staff Report) The multinational companies are recognizing Pakistan as potential market for their products as they believed that purchasing power has increased with steady economic growth.
Head of Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF) highlighted the latest technologies at the media briefing held on Thursday at a local hotel in Karachi, Pakistan.
Talking to media, Panasonic’s Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa region Mr. Hiroki Soejima said that Panasonic recognises Pakistan’s increased potential as a market for growth, as it continues to see increasing urbanisation, and more people with purchasing power.
Panasonic, with its local partners, who understand the lifestyle of Pakistan consumers, will continue to offer right products that would add value to the customers’ life through convenience and true Japanese quality.”
He said that the presentations focused on the existing and the new line-up of products by Panasonic that meet the local market demands. Aside from unveiling the latest OLED TV, Jetstream air conditioners, and IT Twist Stick Vacuum cleaner in Pakistan, PMMAF has also felicitated dealers for sales target achievement in FY16, he added.
Mr. Hiroki Soejima, informed that some of new products including Audio & Video Solutions, Air Conditioners, Home Appliances and Beauty and Grooming have been launched by the Panasonic for Pakistani consumers.
He said that Panasonic Corporation is a worldwide leader in the development of diverse electronics technologies and solutions for customers in the consumer electronics, housing, automotive, enterprise solutions and device industries. Since its founding in 1918, the company has expanded globally and now operates 474 subsidiaries and 94 associated companies worldwide, recording consolidated net sales of 7.553 trillion yen for the year ended March 31, 2016.
Committed to pursuing new value through innovation across divisional lines, the company uses its technologies to create a better life and a better world for its customers, he added.
Same day a dealer convention was also arranged by the Panasonic where the dealers were able to witness new solutions that will be introduced to the market in the coming months, and business strategies that Panasonic will be implementing, he informed.
Expressing Panasonic’s positive outlook for the market, Mr. Junichiro Kitagawa, Vice President, Appliances Company & Director, Consumer Marketing Division – Panasonic Corporation, Japan said, “As a customer-centric company, Panasonic plans to boost Pakistan’s consumer confidence, by not just selling products, but as a premium lifestyle Japanese brand through innovation across products and solutions offered by us.”
He said that the convention also became an ideal platform to emphasise product innovation for Panasonic’s product management team. Audio & Video Solutions
The Japanese manufacturer unveiled the professional grade TV, TH-65EZ1000M, which combines4K Hexa Chrome Drive pro and OLED next generation panel to deliver outstanding colour clarity contrast and brightness. The EZ1000 is fully compatible with HDR10, the industry minimum standard for a high dynamic range screen. It is tuned by Hollywood colourist to deliver an accurate cinema experience, true to the filmmaker’s vision.
Panasonic also introduced its newest range of Jet Stream Room Air Conditioners, which features a 25-metre air throw capacity to the dealers in Pakistan. The innovative JET STREAM technology and design enhancements like AEROWINGS are the key features that allow the air conditioners to precisely control air flow and enable faster cooling. This also allows the customers to use the AC both on ‘shower cooling’ and ‘direct blast’ modes.
In the home appliance category, Panasonic’s latest juicer blender, food processors formed the key highlight. Whereas, a variety of leading microwave models were also displayed. Besides these, Panasonic exhibited electric irons and garment steamers under the small appliances category. In the major home appliances category, Panasonic’s latest two-door bottom freezer refrigerator.
Beauty and Grooming
Last but not the least, under the beauty and personal care segment, the main highlight was Panasonic’s unique beard styler ER-GD60, which is a shaving trimmer specially designed for detailing and designing of beards. Aside from this the company also introduced its flagship professional clipper ER-GP80 and hair dryer model EH-NA65 that features unique and advanced nanoe technology.
