Hyderabad: At least 24 people were reported injured in a cracker attack in the jurisdiction of Makki Shah police station Hyderabad. Authorities believe that the attack is carried out by Banned outfit  Jiye Sindh Mutahhida Mahaz, ahead of their strike call againt the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

According to initial reports the cracker was lobbed from Wahab Shah Jilani fly over targeting shops of second hand clothes and shoes.

The injured were shifted to Liaquat medical hospital and the hospital administration have also confirmed that 24 were received with injuries at the emergency.

JSMM gave a strike call against CPEC and also issued a statement on Sunday, saying that state authorities had launched a crackdown against the outfit and had arrested hundreds of its activists across the province during raids.

The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken strict notice of the incident and has called for report about the incident from the inspector general of Sindh.

The Cracker attack just happened two days after the deadly suicide blast at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan, taking life of 88 people including women and children.
