Karachi: (By Aftab Channa) The Sindh’s finance authorities are all set to sale recently announced of jobs in the department allegedly in return of heavy bribes, it is reliably learnt.

The insiders told Sind Post that the ‘agent mafia’ has become active soon after the announcement of more than 250 jobs of different categories.

“The agent mafia hailing from Pano Aqil, district Ghotki has set up a nexus to heading by finance department’s senior officers and the rate for the job is varying from Rs 500,000 to Rs 1,600,000”, sources alleged.

The finance department had run an advertisement for the jobs that include Assistants, Data Processing Assistants, Superintendents, Clerks, Junior Clerks, Dispatcher, sweepers, watchman etc and thousands of aspiring candidates have so far applied for the post.

However, unfortunately, the agent mafia allegedly under direct supervision of Additional Secretary Finance Nisar Shaikh, Section Officer Aamir Isran and Private Secretary to Secretary Finance Irfan Memon are making deals with different candidates for the job in demanding heavy bribe, source added.

According to sources, the Sindh High Court (SHC) Sukkur Bench has issued a Stay Order on new appointments on these posts following a petition filed by complainant Ms Hina who was deprived of her right of job despite being as competent in year 2011-12.
