Karachi: Former President and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has returned to Pakistan after 18 months of self exile on friday afternoon.
A huge number of Party workers and leaders welcomed him at old terminal of Jinnah International Airport Karachi.
Addressing to his workers he said”I have brought hopes and future of the region is bright. CPEC is not just a road but a journey of development and better future”
I still remeber the day when you welcomed BIBI (Benazir Bhutto). She is with us today, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is with us today. Addressing political actors in his speech he said, We are not amongst those who run away. We will be burried here.
We will always make the parliament strong. We carried democracy successfully for five years and even having strong concerns in election results we transferred power peacefully to Mian Nawaz Shareef. He said.
He was accompanied by Babar Awan, Rehman Malik and 7 other party leaders while Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, senior Minister Nisar Khuhro and other leaders welcomed Zardari.
According to local media reports, he was airlifted for party headquarters in Karachi after his speech.
sources Told Sindh Post that Zardari will leave Pakistan on December 30th.
