Karachi: Former President of Pakistan and Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party Asif Ali Zardari is arriving in Pakistan on friday after staying out of the country for 18 months.
He left Pakistan after his hard hitting speech in June 2015 in which he lashed Pakistan’s millitary establishment. Since then he stayed out and his party told media various times that the reason of staying out is medical not political.
Zardari will address his welcome rally at old Jinnah Terminal of Karachi Airport. Said Nisar Khuhro.
Sources told Sindh Post that he will arrive after Friday Prayers but not decided yet whether he will use helicopter to get to Bilawal House or will continue the road ride to home.
Zardari will stay in Karachi for two days and hold high level meetings with Party leaders. Later he will go to Larkana to attend his wife and Party’s Slain leader Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary.
PPP has recruited one thousand volunteers to guide trafic to avoid any trafic jams on the road.
Trafic police told Local media that no roads will be blocked, only diversions will be placed at some points.
