World Bank has stopped the funding of disputed Kishanganga Dam & Ratle Dam being constructed by India over chenab River. Calling it against the Indus water treaty.

Pakistan has raised objections over the construction of 330 MW kishanganga & Ratle having capacity of 850 MW.

The world bank president Jim young Kim said that Pakistan & India should look to  resolve their conflict mutually and within the bounds of Indus Water Treaty.

He said “the two countries will hopefully come to an agreement by January 2017.
