Former US Senator John Glenn Dies in Columbus Ohio


Columbus, Ohio: The first American to Orbit earth, a 95 year old Senator Glenn was hospitalized at James cancer hospital for more than a week.
John being an astronaut was the oldest American who rocketed 36 years of his life.

NASA in its tweet after his death said  “We are saddened by the loss of Sen. John Glenn, the first American to orbit Earth. A true American hero. Godspeed, John Glenn,”

our nation has lost an icon and Michelle and I have lost a friend.  John spent his life breaking barriers, from defending our freedom as a decorated Marine Corps fighter pilot in World War II and Korea, to setting a transcontinental speed record, to becoming, at age 77, the oldest human to touch the stars,” Said US President Obama

Today we lost a great pioneer of air and space in John Glenn. He was a hero and inspired generations of future explorers. He will be missed. Tweeted President Elect Donald Trump.
Glenn has left his widow Anne Glenn & two siblings.
